Release drills for wide receivers
The release is your start off the line of scrimmage: how you shake the defender pressing you before your route even begins. A good release comes down to footwork, hands and reading where the defender lines up. This page gathers the 51 release drills in Route Builder: speed releases, work against the press, hand work at the line. 27 can be done solo; the others need a partner. Each drill page explains the movement, gives the key points and the common mistakes, and links to a video on its creator's channel.
