Seated Ball Catches

Sitting on the ground, legs straight, while the passer throws from five meters at varying heights. You can’t compensate with your legs or back up: every badly caught ball is a hand error, and it shows right away.

Key points

  • Keep your upper body straight; don't lean back to buy time.
  • Your hands should reach for the ball in front of you, not above your stomach.
  • Three sets of twenty-five seconds each, performed continuously.

Common mistakes

  • Leaning back on your hands between balls.
  • A thrower who always aims for the chest, which makes the exercise pointless.
