You’re running straight, but the ball is coming in off-target over your shoulder: too short, too long, or on the wrong side. You need to adjust your position mid-stride without breaking stride: this is the real move in the game, where almost no deep pass arrives perfectly.
Key points
- Positioning is determined by the running path, not by the arms.
- Switch shoulders without ever stopping your run.
- Three sets of twenty-five seconds.
Common mistakes
- Braking to let the ball arrive.
- A passer who is too accurate, which removes the very adjustment you’re working on.
