Two 20-yard sprints at full speed. This is the climax of the sequence, the goal toward which the previous five phases are building: without it, the warm-up would never have prepared the body for what the session is about to demand.
Key points
- It only comes after the build-up and the cut, never before.
- Full recovery between the two: these are two all-out sprints, not a continuous sequence.
- If you don’t feel 100% ready, do one more build-up run first.
Common mistakes
- Putting it first because you’re in a hurry.
- Doing only one and treating the build-up as done.
