45-Degree Cut
- Reference prescription
- Check the prescription in your workout.
- Players
- Solo
- Equipment
- None
Two 45-degree cuts on each side at a single marker. Starting at 40 minutes, they are performed at 80% and then 95%. In a shorter session or a small space, they are reduced to 70% and then 85%, and no full sprints follow. In a hallway, leave room to brake after the cut.
Key points
- Your knee stays in line with your foot on the plant. Stabilize the cut before raising the intensity.
- One marker is enough: a shoe, a line. No need for cones.
- Thirty seconds between reps.
Common mistakes
- Letting your knee cave inward on the cutting step.
- Skipping this phase and going straight from straight-line runs to fast changes of direction.
