Leg Swings
- Reference prescription
- Check the prescription in your workout.
- Players
- Solo
- Equipment
- None
Front-to-back leg swings on each leg, with increasing range. This is active mobility: the range comes from the muscle, never from momentum or from a hand pushing.
Key points
- Use a hand support if you can find one; otherwise, keep your arms spread wide.
- The range of motion comes from the hips; do not arch your back to reach further.
- The first swings are short; the last ones are wide.
Common mistakes
- Throwing the leg and letting momentum do the work.
- Compensating by tilting the pelvis: the range you gain isn’t coming from the hip.
