- Cones (recommended)
Set three cones (or other markers: bottles, bags) in an arc at the depth of your break, not just one: the video shows the move on a bare field, and without marks on the ground you always round too wide without seeing it. The three cones draw the curve to follow. The opposite of the Hitch Snap: you never brake. Three steps, then roll around the arc while keeping your speed and come out flat toward the sideline. Twelve reps, six per side.

Key points
- The outside foot pushes forward; it doesn't slow you down. If you hear a heel strike, you've messed up.
- Go wide before going deep, otherwise you’ll block the adjacent route.
- Time one rep in three: kept speed is something you measure, not something you feel.
- In a group, with a ball: your partner throws to you as you come out of the break. Same movement, plus the catch.
Common mistakes
- Breaking at 90 degrees instead of rolling, which costs two tenths.
- Going too wide around the cone and leaving the lane.
