- Equipment
- Cones (recommended)
The corner run in full, with one cue per rep. Place a cone (or any other marker: bottle, bag) twelve or fifteen yards straight ahead. You run up at full speed, plant your foot in the ground at the cone and break toward the sideline, away from the passer. The first three steps after the break are taken head down, digging. You take a high angle, toward the back of the field, to leave the passer room to throw you toward the sideline. Only then do you look for the ball. Four reps per side.

Key points
- Twelve to fifteen yards before breaking.
- The first three steps out, head down: that is where the separation is made.
- A high angle, which leaves room on the sideline side.
- In a group, with a ball: your partner throws to you as you come out of the break. Same movement, plus the catch.
Common mistakes
- Looking for the ball right at the break: the exit slows down.
- An angle that is too flat, which brings the route closer to the sideline and closes the throwing window.
