- Players
- Solo
- Equipment
- Football, Cones (recommended)
The top of three routes from the same start, with the stem shortened to keep only the last steps. One cone in front of you, two on an angle (or other markers: bottles, bags): run the top of the hitch, then the curl, then the comeback, in turn. Twelve reps, four of each.

Key points
- The stem is identical on all three: that’s what makes the tops impossible to tell apart.
- Change routes without changing your step rhythm; otherwise you give away which one you’re running.
- The comeback heads back toward the sideline, the curl stays facing the passer. Two opposite endings from the same run.
- In a group, with a ball: your partner throws to you as you come out of the break. Same movement, plus the catch.
Common mistakes
- Shortening your stride from the start because you know the break is coming soon.
- Running the three in the same order every round, which turns it into a choreography.
