Power skip: on every step you look for as much height as possible, opposite knee high, opposite arm thrown up. It’s a track classic, and the only vertical power drill in the catalog that’s done moving forward rather than standing still.
Key points
- We're looking for height, not distance traveled: twenty yards should take a long time.
- The opposite arm drives up hard; it’s worth several centimeters on every step.
- The ankle stays cocked as the foot comes back down; it doesn’t collapse.
- Ninety seconds between runs.
Common mistakes
- Turning it into a bouncy jog, which removes all the vertical drive.
- Landing heel first, which kills the bounce and loads the knee.
