Set two markers three yards apart and run around them in a figure-eight pattern without ever stopping. The loop format increases the number of times you make contact with the ground without having to start from the line each time: where a single run would give you two speed cuts, you’ll do fifteen. Three sets of thirty seconds.
Key points
- Don't slow down in the loop: this is a speed cut, not a slalom.
- The inside shoulder drops before each change of direction.
- Change the direction of rotation between sets.
Common mistakes
- Going wider and wider as the set goes on.
- Standing up in the curve, which turns the cut into a turn.
